I consider a closet staple to be a piece of clothing, or a shoe, that is going to give me the most bang for my buck.
These pieces typically never go out of style and are usually solid neutrals. When an item can be styled several ways to create multiple outfits, that is what I call a classic and timeless staple I want in my closet.
This solid colored blouse is a favorite style of mine because it’s so easy to dress up or down. When I want to feel a little more ‘put together’ at a doctor’s visit or lunch with friends this is a top I would reach for. It would also be really cute to bring on vacation and wear as a swimsuit coverup with cut offs and flip flops.

Sizing details:
black heels – true to size however you should size up in these instead of down if needed.
black skinny jeans – true to size with little stretch. If you are in between sizes I recommend going up one.
The quality of this blouse is much better than I imagined. It’s available in seven colors and fits true to size. I have a bad habit of buying multiple colors in an item I really love so obviously I couldn’t decide on just one. I have the black, army green and blue however there is a pretty orange, light pink and dark red available.

Sizing details:
similar espadrilles – true to size with a 2 3/4″ heel; 1 3/4″ platform. They are very comfortable and go with everything from jeans, to shorts to dresses and skirts.
blue denim shorts – These Free People shorts are very comfortable, true to size and have a button front instead of a zipper. They aren’t a stiff denim however they don’t have a lot of stretch either. The fabric is more of a cotton feel and wear really well throughout the day.
long white denim shorts – These are from AGOLDE so they are definitely a splurge item. If it’s in your budget or you are creating a capsule wardrobe and want a pair of white denim shorts you won’t have to replace every year then I highly recommend these. They are real denim, true to size, have a button front and a 4 inch inseam.
